Coach, Specialty: Olympic Weightlifting

Charlie’s CrossFit journey began in 2016.  After many years of using running as her primary workout, she found she needed more of a challenge.  Charlie initially committed to CrossFit for only 6 months, but once The CrossFit Games Open came around and she got a taste of competition, she knew she would be making a life-long commitment to the sport.  By 2018, she started coaching and, over the years, has grown her expertise in Olympic Weightlifting by helping many athletes achieve their goals in meets and competitions.  As a coach, Charlie’s superpower is her ability to be a constant source of encouragement for her athletes.  Charlie’s favorite Girl WOD is Diane, her favorite Hero WOD is Holleyman, and her favorite movement is Handstand Push-Ups.  When Charlie is not at the gym training or coaching, she enjoys studying the Bible either by herself or with a group and spending time with her family that includes her husband, two boys, four dogs, and two cats.
