In 2011, Liz decided she was done with boring treadmill workouts and began “bootcamp style” classes. Eventually she was diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis leading doctors to tell her she’d never run again. In 2015, Liz was approached by our owner, Kyle, to join a new gym he was opening up called CrossFit Kinesis. He assured her she would be able to do the workouts and, guess what…she can run again! Her first workout was a 7-minute AMRAP of deadlifts and wall balls. Liz began her coaching career as a Nutrition Coach for Kinesis then eventually began leading classes. When coaching, Liz’s superpower is her ability to help each member in class meet the stimulus of the workout; whether that means performing it as prescribed or scaling the workout in some way. Not only has Liz helped many Kinesis members find great success with their nutrition goals, one of her most proud moments was qualifying for the 2023 CrossFit Games Quarterfinals in the 40-44 Age Group. Her favorite Girl WOD is Grace, her favorite Hero WOD is Murph, and her favorite movements are Cleans. If Liz could pick one song as her Official Hype Song, it would be “Till I Collapse” by Eminem. She is married to Chris, who happened to propose to her at Kinesis. They have a daughter named Augie who joins in the CrossFit fun most evenings while her mom and dad workout. When she isn’t coaching, she’s working in the marketing department at her full-time job or coming up with fun recipes that make meal-prepping easy for the whole family.
